Tiger Sky Tower
How to get there by Singapore MRT. Singapore interactive metro guide.
Situated the western part of Sentosa Island, the Singapore Tiger Sky Tower is the highest observation tower in the whole of Asia. This fascinating structure allows its visitors to enjoy panoramic views of the island from a height of some 131 meters above sea level.
An air-conditioned, rotating glass car, which can accommodate up to 72 people, gradually slides up along the tower’s vertical column to the height equivalent to a 50-storey house. Having reached the highest point, the car stops its ascent for several minutes while continuing to rotate; thus allowing those inside to get a good look at all of Sentosa’s sights from a bird’s eye view. It is also possible to see part of Singapore itself and, on a clear day, even the Indonesian islands from the top of the Tiger Sky Tower.
The trip takes around 7 minutes, while an audio guide installed in the car tells about the history of Sentosa Island and its sights, as observed from above, during the ascent.
