On October 19th, another retro-festival Retrolicious Reunion! will take place on the stage installed in Fort Canning Park. Belinda Carlisle, Rick Astley and the band Bananarama will perform during the festival in Singapore.
Belinda Carlisle is a famous American singer, the founder and the leading vocalist of one of the most successful female rock bands in music history – The Go-Go's. She has seven solo albums and four albums recorded with the band as well the single Heaven Is a Place on Earth (1987) to her name. The mentioned single has conquered musical charts worldwide.
Rick Astley is a British performer who became famous in the late 1980s thanks to his hit Never Gonna Give You Up. This hit topped the charts in 25 countries. The singer was most popular in the late 2000s, when musical video to his composition was used as an Internet meme.
Bananarama is one of the most famous British pop groups, which exists for more than 30 years. Their albums and singles sold more than 40 million copies. Bananarama is listed in the Guinness Book as the girl group with the greatest number of songs that entered the charts.
