The restaurant L’Angelus, situated in the building of the former shop-house in the China Town’s very heart, is reminiscent of a cozy Parisian café.

It serves traditional French dishes whose flavor can be set off with the help of carefully chosen wine from restaurant’s extensive wine list that includes drinks from the best manufacturers on the Old and New World.

Elegant interior, filled with black and white photos and posters from French movies, creates an atmosphere of European chic. Main room and small terrace are at guests’ disposal.

The service is not good. They forgot our order, left us wait 30mins for main course after we finished the starter. No apologies.

Had the set dinner menu - option of escargots, foie gras, and tenderloin. For dessert the chocolate cake was really good, the pistachio ice cream less so.

Duck confit was the best we've had in Singapore. Crispy & fragrant, every bite was pleasurable. And there's that sinful side of potato crisp fried in duck fat. Ahhh...

Amazingly good cote SW boeuf and real French andouillette, a must try! As desserts the Diplomatico rum baba and the Grand Marnier Crepes Suzette will make you cry with happiness! Excellent service
