September 17-18, 2016 Singapore will play host to a popular American a cappella group, which is now on a tour in support of their newest music album that was released last fall. They will perform during the F1 Singapore Grand Prix.
Pentatonix, consisting of five vocalists from Arlington, Texas (Avi Kaplan, Scott Hoying, Kirstie Maldonado, Kevin Olusola and Mitch Grassi) was formed in 2011 and won The Sing-Off on NBC, becoming a world sensation in a blink of the eye. Enchanting vocals and amazing beatboxing are the main features of this unique a cappella band that produces quality jazz, folk, indie-pop, dubstep, r'n'b and electro music, as well as creates unbelievable blends of various genres. Enthusiasm, talent and experience made Pentatonix the most famous and popular a cappella music band on the globe.
The 4th album of the band, which does not contain covers of well-known songs, but includes creations of Pentatonix, jumped to the top of Billboard in no time. Besides, more than 100,000 copies of the album were sold. The band has received their 2nd Grammy for Best Arrangement, Instrumental or A Cappella recently.
