The Amusement Park Universal Studios is located inside the grounds of the unique resort complex "Resorts World Sentosa" on Sentosa Island. As the largest theme park in Southeast Asia, it consists of seven separate zones, the designs for which are based on movies and cartoons that were issued by Hollywood Universal Studio at different times throughout history. Each themed zone has its own original park amusements, as well as numerous cafes and souvenir shops.

Upon entering the amusement park, visitors find themselves immediately in “Hollywood.” This is the name of Universal Studios’ first zone, styled according to the renowned district of Los Angeles. Here, eager guests can meet Charlie Chaplin, Marilyn Monroe and Frankenstein, stroll along the famous "Walk of Fame" and see a real American musical at the legendary Pantages Hollywood Theatre. This zone is also notable for its cluster of brightly colored stores, which sell a vast amount of gifts adorned with beloved Hollywood heroes.

The next zone “New York” recreates the unique atmosphere of the most famous American city. Here you can establish yourself in the role of a film director, creating cinematographic special effects in the Hall ‘Lights, Camera, Action!’, before having a snack at the legendary New York pizzeria – Loui's NY Pizza Parlor. After that, you can go on to Universal Studios’ third zone “Fantastic City,” a futuristic metropolis combining the latest technical innovations with traces of ancient cultures. It is here that amusement park’s most exciting ride is situated: the roller coaster Battlestar Galactica, currently ranking as the highest such attraction in the world.

Afterwards, visitors are invited to travel through time into “Ancient Egypt.” Thanks largely to its impressive decorations, this zone accurately recreates the period of the 1930s, which was the golden age of Egyptian exploration: the opening of Pharaohs’ tombs and the awakening of their terrible curses. One of amusement park’s most spectacular and exciting attractions, “Revenge of the Mummy”, is situated here.

The zone “Lost World” is divided in two parts. The first, larger, part is devoted to the blockbuster film Jurassic Park; with its main ride is a raft journey through the rainforest where dinosaurs lived. The second part is the spectacular show “Waterworld,” which was inspired by the namesake movie. It features impressive special effects and dangerous stunts, carried out by Universal Studio’s professionals. Meanwhile, the next sector is called “Fairy Kingdom.” This part of the park skillfully recreates the world as depicted in the famous cartoon Shrek. Guests can see Shrek’s house, walk down Romeo Street and visit the magnificent castle, where a cartoon about the adventures of Shrek and Princess Fiona is shown in the 4D-cinema.

The concluding point of the trip through the amusement park is the “Madagascar” zone, which embodies the namesake fairy island and invites visitors to drift down a river, getting drenched in the impenetrable jungle together with characters from the cartoon “Madagascar.”

Battlestar Galactica/Cylon is a must-ride! All rides appear wimpy after you’ve taken this one!

Compact park, but has several thrill rides and nice zones. Loved the Horror Nights experience - totally worth it, but you need VIP tickets, otherwise the queues are too time consuming.
