Man Fu Yuan

How to get there by Singapore MRT. Singapore interactive metro guide.

The restaurant Man Fu Yuan is located on the first floor of the Intercontinental Hotel that stands in Singapore downtown. The facility is reckoned among the city’s best ones, in which Cantonese dishes are served.

Menu’s major zest, brought about by restaurant’s chef, is Chinese tea that is served to meat dishes or is used in cookery. The specialties include fried grouper with white tea Bai Mudan, scallops, fried in oil with long tea leaves Longjing, and pork ribs with Pu-erh tea. In addition, the restaurant offers a wide selection of dim sums.

Man Fu Yuan’s cozy room is decorated with classic chandeliers and handmade paintings.

They serve a rosella shot at the start of the meal to whet the appetite, and a plum one to cleanse the palate at the end.

While popular for dimsum, the steamboat is its best-kept secret, according to food critic Wong Ah Yoke. While not cheap, it uses premium ingredients & is the best he has eaten. Source: Sunday Times

Besides standard orders of siew mai (minced pork dumpling), har gow (prawn dumpling) & char siew bao (BBQ pork bun), we enjoyed fried banana fritters with prawn, & beancurd skin roll with shrimps

Lofty feel to their waiting area outside the main entrance. Warm on a hot day

Location. On the 2nd floor, entrance facing the lobby lounge courtyard on the 1st floor. A little out of the way but cosy

Dim sum here is also noticeably less salty than many other Dimsum offered elsewhere, which is a plus!

Good service & ambience. Dimsum buffet @$59++ includes delectable items like a one time order of braised abalone. Charsiew bun, Har Gow and salted egg bun are hits but give the egg tarts a miss.

Another 5-star Canton cuisine restaurant in town IMO. Food here is excellent and what I like about this place is the ambiance i.e. bright and simple, giving diners a cozy feel.
